Determine the medium on which you are using for your design.  What looks good in print does not always look the best on a computer screen. For example, if you are designing for the web, you want to make sure you use a web-friendly font.

Purpose

Different typefaces have different purposes so it is important to determine what it is that you want your type to do or say. Make sure to use a font that fits the audience you are trying to reach.

Readability

The type you use needs to be easy to read. Increasing the leading, or space between lines is an easy way to help readability. Another way to help is to increase the tracking, or space between a group of letters. You also want to consider the font color. It is best to use contrasting colors to make the font stand out from the background.

The announcement of the Apple iCloud has taken file sharing and streaming to the next level. It brings to iOS devices, the benefit of wireless file sharing and streaming. It aims to remove user’s dependency on a personal computer, meaning a user can now download various media, apps, documents and sync media without using any USB cord. The idea behind iCloud services is to keep the devices in sync. With the launch of this service, software updates can now be delivered to users wirelessly.

The Apple iCloud promises a significant improvement on Apple’s previous service MobileMe, which never found any traction with the users.  The focus of both the iOS 5 and the iCloud is on easing the process of managing the various media on all Apple devices.

The seriousness with which Apple treats the iCloud service can be determined from the $ 1 billion data center that has been developed to act as a backbone for this service.

Macintosh: Hold down Shift/Option and press the number “4″. You will now see cross hairs where your mouse pointer is on the screen. Simply drag around the area you wish to capture and a copy will be saved to your desktop.
Windows/PC: There is a screen capture button(looks like a sun) on the top row, (right hand side) of your keyboard. Press that and then paste into an email body or publishing program (ie – Microsoft Word)
